A film by Luc Besson.
Cast: Jean-Marc Barr, Jean Reno, Rosanna Arquette.

English title: The big blue
Enzo and Jacques have known each other for a long time. Their friendship started in their childhood days in the Mediterranean. They were not real friends in these days, but there was something they both loved and used to do the whole day long: diving. One day Jacques’ father, who was a diver too, died in the Mediterranean sea. Years goes by That Jacques and Enzo meet again at a diving competition.
Although the story is fiction, it is inspired by the lives of divers Jacques Mayol and Enzo Maiorca. this is the second time that I see this movie and it is a classic. A terrific buddies story and a love story between Jacques and this woman Johanna Baker (Rosanna Arquette). First the photography is great, the shot in Greece are so stunning even the one in France on the cote d’azur and let’s not forget the coast in Italy.
This young woman Johanna falls in love with Jacques and follows him where where the diving competition takes him. But jacques is still hunted by the death of his father you will see him getting though different emotions. Also his family that he has left 3 dolphins that he sees at the aquarium when ever he can. The film has 2 versions the short one and the long one. The long versions is about 2 hours and 40 minutes long.

Yes, the sights and shots were so very beautiful, also how the colors are arranged in a shot, loved it! And Reno was just so great 🙂
