A film by Julien Rappeneau
Cast: Noémie Lvovsky, Kyan Khojandi, Alice Isaaz
Vincent (Kyan Khojandi) is leading a quiet life running a hair dressing saloon and looking after his elderly mother, Passing the time between his cousin and his cat. Basically Vincent knows his dull life by heart. Until he meets Rosalie Blum, he is certain that he saw her somewhere so he tries to find more about her little did he know Rosalie has a secret of her own and his life is going to change.
Rosalie Blum is a directorial debut of Julian Rappeneau who is writer in France. Rosalie Blum is original as it is captivating as well as intriguing . Here is a touching theme of destiny with the reason of living the film focuses on the people of this town their failures, their victories and how they survive into this world. Telling the story from three different points of view of combination of mystery, drama and romantic comedy. One mystery open an other. Vincent here is afraid of everything plus he is not moving on with his life. As for Rosalie who is played by Noémie Lvovsky who has charisma with this charming personality shines here big time. There are plenty of charming characters here one of them Philippe Rebbot who plays Kolocataire has a slight resemblance to Chong even when he speaks. Rebbot plays whacky characters in films and his choice of movies is interesting to me I can’t wait what he is going to do next. Here is a cool charming comedy made in France. Have fun.
