In 1975 Seyolo Zantoko, a doctor freshly graduated from Kinshasa, seized the opportunity to be the country doctor in a small French village. Arrived in Marly-Gomont, Seyolo and family is disillusioned. The people are afraid, they have never seen black people in their lives. But Seyolo is determined to succeed and will make every effort to win the trust of the villagers …
Based on a true story here is a light hearted comedy about a family and its difficulties in integrating in an environment, but it is treated simply in a fun way. Keep in mind it is 1971 and in the country in France they never saw black people. The people in France back then were secluded in the country, they even speak a very rustic language which leads to some funny situation. Zantoko tries in vain to get the patients in his office but the people of this village will not have it. Zantokodoes not despair and find solution to this problem with some opportunities that will present themselves. There have fun with this one.
