A film James Wan
Cast: Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Madison Wolfe
Based on the historic cases of Lorraine and Ed Warren, in particular the Enfield case. The most documented case in this life time from the paranormal files. Director James Wan (Saw, Insidious, Furious 7) proves that he is becoming a master of his craft, especially in regards to horror as he almost flawlessly filmed the first film he has done it again as perfect as you would expect. Patrick Wilson (Ed Warren) and Vera Farmiga (Lorraine Warren) their chemistry reaches higher, and the level of terror is raised a notch higher.
After a brief introduction sequence summarizing details of the Warren’s infamous Amityville case, something is going on in London a demonic entity took possession of a girl as they open the gateway of hell with a widgy board. The mother Peggy Hodgson (Frances O’Connor) and daughter, Janet Hodgson (Madison Wolfe,) gave an unbelievably s performances, executing every scene with highly intense emotions. And yes the audience can expect the flickering visuals and frights that come along with the horror films. The tension will build up with some serious music to the point it will hit you in the face. To me it looks like the exorcism but in a different point of view a different case. The beaty of it is that wan surrounded himself the some great and strong writers as well as actors and that my friends that make all the difference in the world to make a great film.
