A film by Asghar Farhadi

Cast: Taraneh Alidoosti, Shahab Hosseini, Mina Sadati

Constrained to leave their apartment in  Tehran due to important works threatening the structure of the building, Emad and Rana move into a new apartment . An incident in connection with the former tenant will upset the life of the young couple.

The Salesman begins as if the gods was furious of something and wanted the people to evacuate which put in motion the film’s furious plot. In Tehran, an apartment building begins to crumble and collapse without the slightest warning. Rana (Taraneh Alidoosti) and her husband Emad (Shahab Hosseini) must evacuate and find a new place to live. Not an easy thing to do in Tehran meaning that most places are rented already and they have to possibly wait. They are actors and are trying to launch a play plus Emad is a teacher in high school. Through the help of a member of their production, the couple finds a spacious temporary apartment. not long after they are there an incident happens which will set a series of events.

Here Edmad tries to investigate and finds out what happens. The thing is he is slowly getting there and his wife does not want him to call the police because of some level she is a shame of it even scared. The thing is in this world in Tehran the society is puritan which does not help thing. The film is focused on the anger and revenge. Scenes of Emad single-mindedly pursuing a car possibly linked with the attack on his wife show, more than anything. There are some morality issues as well as insecurities. The thing is what is he going to do once he find what he is looking for. unpredictable here thank god but at the end well it is fine but I would went an other way.
