A film by David Yates

Cast: Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol

The adventures of writer Newt Scamander in New York’s secret community of witches and wizards  before Harry Potter reads his book in school.

And yes they are going to try a prequel series. In the name of love for the money. Plus it is going to put a lot of people to work. Thank god for Warner Brothers and the special effects guys ,well they are happy campers too, if this film is going to get off the ground and make money that is.

Hogwarts student’s (Eddie Redmayne) arrival with a suitcase of magical creatures. He is here to do field work for his  book that he’s writing, but no thanks to a mix- up involving a klutzy working-class ‘no-maj’ named Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), some of the beasts Newt keeps hidden in his suitcase well kind if manifested themselves. Together with two female wizards, the struggling investigator Porpentina Goldstein (Katherine Waterson) and her mind-reading sister Queenie (Alison Sudol), Newt and Jacob set out to chase down these creatures before they wreak more of the city and ho! no the people can’t find out.

There is a bit of adventure here although I have not seen any Harry Potter movies I do not mind this film that is gear for children. It is charming a thing is unusual about it is that the chubby dude gets the girl, well sort of, you will have to see the film. The cast is fine and the actor does the jobs here with the special effect now days you can put on-screen this sort of film a lot easier. I personally love the underground jazz club with all kind of creature roaming around. It is entertaining not boring and moves along just fine. Some the creatures did not get much exposure in the story and that is too bad unfortunately. Go at it takes your kids and have fun.
