A film by Yannick Dahan, Benjamin Rocher
Cast: Claude Perron, Jean-Pierre Martins, Eriq Ebouaney
A group of crooked cops has some business in this building and yes it went wrong, they escape with their lives but finds out it is the end of the world something happened when they find out that the street is filled with zombies. They are on the last floor and trying to get out alive to the ground floor is an other story.
This film works because it is not your typical gangster film. There is a twist to it well we all know zombies are coming. May the blood bath begin. The dead are rising and there is no explanation for it. The writers decided use your imagination. As they go down the building they form alliances with some weird people who live in the building. And yes it is a blood bath, bullet driven knife stabbing and everything else in between. They start to go down and the more zombies are getting in. It is a take no prisoner film and you will not get bored. It is moving along just fine. It is Zombie Apocalypse time baby. Great cinematography here and the special effect of Paris burning is splendid. See the thing is that there is no market in my country for this kind of film horror genre that is, so here are 2 directors who was bold enough to do a gangster film zombie type a la carte and it worked. Well that is it, enjoy this brain sauté film and please pass the butter. I am going to have a glass of wine with that, its guilty pleasure time baby!
