Finally it has arrived and I was going to do a review yesterday but something came up. Here are character-packed extravaganza that picks up at the end of “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens” and guides the series into unfamiliar territory with a few surprises. And yes fans you are going to love it. Don’t worry the mythology follows what George Lucas has built.
The first part of stars wars deals with Lea and the resistance trying to destroy a main ship and running away from the Empire. The other part is Rey trying to convince the self-exiled Jedi master Luke Skywalker , to overcome his grief at failing a group of young Jedi trainees and rejoin the Resistance. And yes in the mix there is Darth Vader-obsessed apprentice Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Yes there are the usual suspects but I am going to be vague even not say much after that.
The story telling goes where it is supposed to go even end it where it is suppose to go which is to be followed by the 9th one. The special effects are out standing and even beautiful at times. The surprises make sense and you will see why when you see the film. It is down perfect this film and let’s hope they can do the same for the next one. The thing is the unexpected death of Carrie Fisher, thank god they gave her more screen time on that one. R.I.P Carrie Fisher. Yes it has humour in it and I expected that but the ending of the film I knew it was the only way to go. Until next time.
