A film by Guy Ritchie

Cast: Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander

Of course as we know here is the talented Ritchie who knows how to bring back The man from U.N.C.L.E as a cool, slick film full of gadget and his trade mark nice clothes for every body. And we all know by now that was a series that lasted 4 years in the 60’s.

Well as the story goes it is in the 60’s and it is the cold war between USSR and The United State. Plus back then there was an east and west german separated by a wall. It is a cool slick spy action thriller done from the series back in the 60’s from Guy Ritchie and it has not being modernized. The opening with the Jazz tune from the sixties and the cool car chase that goes with it which is set in  Germany with a blend of humor put into it and the silliness makes it entertaining as hell. English man Brit Henry Cavill plays the American Napoleon Solo, American Armie Hammer plays the Russian Illya Kuryakin and Swedish Alicia Vikander as German Gaby Teller. You are introduced to the characters here for the first time, at first Solo and Illya Kuryakin are against each other than later works with each other. There are some quite funny scenes like the one where Solo eats a sandwich  in a truck while Kurvakin is trying to escape on a boat. Gaby is not just a woman for a distraction for the bad guys or some kind of trophy wife of some kind, later you find out that she has actually a role in this. The decor is so 60’s with some cool Jazzy 60’s music to go with it but as usual Ritchie some how makes it a fashion show with some nice costume which is fine by me because if you look back on the old film like the 40’s to 50’s people were actually well dressed. Hugh Grant and Jared Harris are both good in their small parts. Playing Gaby’s Uncle Rudi, Sylvester Groth is quite impressive in his role it fits him like a glove. Hopefully there will be a sequel to it, that would be nice.
