A film by Michael Gracey

The Biography of P.T. Barnum who had this vision and was ahead of his time a the greatest show on earth as he called it.
Here is a terrific piece of musical who has songs like hip hop and avoided to put the classic music into it smart move. It is purely entertaining with great dancing numbers. The film starts with the title song “The Greatest Show,” with repetitive thumping percussion, Hugh Jackman (P.T. Barnum) in red long coat and top hat takes us on a dazzling tour, The all number is perfect choreography. The story takes us when his father and him as a young boy goes to this house (Rich people) and Barnum got interested to this young girl the daughter of his father’s customer. Than you see him all growing up and getting an idea of what he wants to do with his life. Both his wife and kids having almost nothing coming from nothing and marrying the daughter of a rich man and they were happy the way it is. However P.T. Barnum had an idea in mind. He launches out on his own, creating a theatre in the heart of New York City. He gathers together people with special talents as well as those with physical abnormalities (a big bearded lady, Siamese twins, a dwarf who would eventually be known as General Tom Thumb, Barnum’s first “breakout star”). The audition sequence is fun to watch and Jackman is dazzling in it. Not all people loved what he was doing but Barnum was so taken by being recognised in he was consumed by it. He even promised his wife that they will have a big house. He discover other talent Jenny Lind,(Rebecca Ferguson) the “Swedish Nightingale,” whom Barnum took on a whirlwind concert tour through America. Even meet the queen of England. Overall the casting is perfect and it is entertaining as hell . By the way Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus folded up its tent for good, after 146 years of uninterrupted operation soon after the film got released, due to the pressure of animal activist and poor attendance. Do not miss this one.

Logan hides out with the professor of the X and a Mutant in Mexico. He is a limo driver trying to make a buck across the border. But suddenly he is haunted by young mutant with dark forces that are after her .
It is the year 2029 now and Logan takes care of the professor somewhere in Mexico. Sorry I can’t help myself with this one the Trump wall is not build there are just fences. The mutants have been persecuted for a long time and only a few remain. Those who has not been caught hides to survive. Logan gets a job as a limo driver to pay for the medicine for the professor with an albino-mutant tracker Caliban (Stephen Merchant). the professor’s attacks can and do trigger seismic activities that can kill hundreds of people. You will see an older Logan here and as you watch the film later the answer will be thrown at you.But then comes Laura (Dafne Keen) who is like him.
The violence here is set though out the film but you can see that Logan here has trouble with himself. The father-son relationship with Logan and the professor makes things to an other new level with human relation to which Logan become a little grumpier. All of the X-men film were so good they did not mess up the series what so ever. You have seen Logan going through different stages in his life. We finally hold the reference of the saga X-Men. Logan goes beyond the film of superheroes and redefines the genre by finally addressing to the adults. The thing here I knew where this was going unfortunately a little predictable for me but a warning here there is a surprise ending and will open a different era I hope.
A film by Dexter Fletcher
Cast: Taron Egerton, Hugh Jackman, Tom Costello
It is base on the true story of Eddie Edwards the underdog ski jumper from England who charmed and even melted hearts in the 1988 Olympics.
Here is the thing Eddie wants to go tho the Olympics once he finds out that he wants to become a ski jumper, he puts his mind to it and goes to training. The thing is that Eddie was told that he is not an athlete. Not just because he was incredibly awkward, but because of a physical condition that gave him weak knees. First you do not tell him that because now he wants to do it more then ever even his mother encourage him to go to the Olympics but his father disapprove. Even the British committee did not want him to go so they told him in order to qualify he has to jump 61 ft. So Eddie travels to Germany where the best skiers train. It’s there that he meets Bronson Peary (Jackman); a former ski jumping champion turned drunken groundskeeper. So you know how the story is going to go. At one point you are going to say does those people is going to understand that no matter what they tell Eddie he is going to do it. He will put his mind to it and do it not only that he will achieve it. The relationship is rocky with Bronson at first but something is rubbing Bronson that he begin to even like the kid, and yes there is a life lesson in there somewhere. “I love ski jumping, almost as much as I love proving people wrong”, Eddie says. Eddie faces the ridicule from the other skier as well as the public to him it does not matter as long as he does what he loves ski jumping that is.The real-life Eddie Edwards has said the film is only about 10% accurate and the rest is made-up. In the film, Eddie trains in Garmisch (aka Garmisch-Partenkirchen), Germany, but in reality he learned how to ski jump in Lake Placid in the USA. The other thing that the film is playing out like a fairy tale and his very entertaining.
A film by Neill Blomkamp
Cast: Sharlto Copley, Dev Patel, Hugh Jackman
In the near future thing are a little different the police can not contain the violence and the crime in this city in Africa. So the next best thing is this young genius figure out a way to build robot cops to fight crime. So crime is going down and things are good. But Deon Wilson (Dev Patel) the genius wants to take it a step further, he developed artificial intelligence and wants to try it on one of the robot. But his boss won’t have it Michelle Bradley (Sigourney Weaver) won’t have it, she does not see the point. So Deon takes matter of his own hand. When shit happens.
Now I do not want to reveal too much about this film. It is interesting at that but how many times Blomkamp is going to manipulate the story involving a robot. Here is the thing In District 9 gradually a man becomes a robot. Then in Elysium a man is half human half robot. Now in this one he tackles with conciseness and robot. Trying not to give it away. Although I love his film and I am a die hard of Sci-fi film it gets to be a little old. But it is still good I am not knocking the film. The film takes places in Johannesburg where Blomkamp was born. Hugh Jackman play the other guy who has this robot cop lookalike (The original) and wants to use his robot to fight crime but the police won’t have it because it is fit for war not so much to fight crime. Bloomkamp tackles with artificial intelligence in this film, I remember a friend of min who used to work for GM in the artificial intelligence department they wanted to make the car smarter and run on its own that was back in the 80’s. He was telling me about this and was very interested in the subject. Look now they have cars that can drive itself. Also there is a guy in the US who want to develop robot and in the next 10 years he wants to every home in America but also to make them to protect the country he wants soldiers. I saw that on the news in France at one time not long ago. That is a dangerous thing remember the movie the terminator. Now there is a guy who makes this little robot for about 3000€ to help people with their chores at their home. It is good business in France soon but at what cost. If they are going to think for themselves and be smarter than a human are we still going to exist. That is if they can pull the artificial intelligence on a robot. i think it is a very hard thing to develop. Anyway The film runs 2 hours long the story is moving along just fine as well as the actor has done a fine job here. Some of you might not like Jackman’s character. It is worth a look.
A film by Denis Villeneuve.
Cast: Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis
How far would you go to protect your family? Keller dover (Hugh Jackman) 6 years old daughter Anna (Erin gerasimovich ) and her fiends is missing, and as minutes turn ti hour panic sets in. The only lead is the RV that was earlier parked in the street. Detective Locki (Jake Gyllenhaal) arrest the driver. 48 hours later they release him on lock of evidence. The police pursue multiple leads and the clock id ticking. Soon Dover takes matter on to his own hand.
First what a cast Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Terence Howard, Maria Bello, Viola Davis, Oscar-winner Melissa Leo, and Paul Dano. The film is shot around the rain season to set the atmosphere at thanksgiving time. The suspense is rolling though out the film at a nice pace. Hugh Jackman gives a grzat performance. He is the weak man who in order to make himself powerful take matters to his own hand. Bello plays the devastating mother who is trying to get all together but can’t. She drowns herself with sleeping pills like she is going to wake up from this nightmare like nothing happened. Jake Gyllenhaal plays a detective who is not going to give up, his performance his outstanding. Terence Howard shows how brilliant he is playing a man who is devastated by the event. Paul Dano gave a superb performance playing the guy who get arrested it is not easy to play his character like he did. The film has several twist and turn and a bit predictable but it is still good. Let’s not forget Mellisa Leo who likes to play that kind of character gave a chilling performance in that one.
A film by James Mangold.
Cast: Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Tao Okamoto.
In modern day Japan, Wolverine is out of his depth in an unknown world as he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.
This one is different that the rest of the franchise it is an approach of deconstructing our childhood heroes. Logan faces immortality as well as pain even he bleeds and does not understands why. The film features magnificent suspenseful action sequences, well crafted production and costume design and colorful characters. The script is based on the comic book where wolverine finds himself it is the most popular of them all.
As the film’s start, Logan is haunted by the memory not only of his lost love, Jean Grey which he killed by accident. he leaves in the wood and is withdrawn from society. We get a flash back where Logan is prisoner during world war II and gets to save a Japanese soldier when the A bomb dropped. when the war is over Logn gets to live in the forest in the Yukon while the man he saved gets to be the most powerful man in Japan. he his in his death bed. He is obsess about immortality and has one of his grand daughter Rila Fukushima (newcomer)out of a manga book character with the red hair to find logan in which she tells him the old man just want to say goodbye. But logan finds out that the old man offers him mortality basically he figured it out. He wants to do a switch but logan quickly finds himself into the family politics. Here is a great film by James Mangold. and very colorful I might ad.
