A film James Wan
Cast: Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Madison Wolfe
Based on the historic cases of Lorraine and Ed Warren, in particular the Enfield case. The most documented case in this life time from the paranormal files. Director James Wan (Saw, Insidious, Furious 7) proves that he is becoming a master of his craft, especially in regards to horror as he almost flawlessly filmed the first film he has done it again as perfect as you would expect. Patrick Wilson (Ed Warren) and Vera Farmiga (Lorraine Warren) their chemistry reaches higher, and the level of terror is raised a notch higher.
After a brief introduction sequence summarizing details of the Warren’s infamous Amityville case, something is going on in London a demonic entity took possession of a girl as they open the gateway of hell with a widgy board. The mother Peggy Hodgson (Frances O’Connor) and daughter, Janet Hodgson (Madison Wolfe,) gave an unbelievably s performances, executing every scene with highly intense emotions. And yes the audience can expect the flickering visuals and frights that come along with the horror films. The tension will build up with some serious music to the point it will hit you in the face. To me it looks like the exorcism but in a different point of view a different case. The beaty of it is that wan surrounded himself the some great and strong writers as well as actors and that my friends that make all the difference in the world to make a great film.
A film by James Wan
Cast: Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins
It looks like a classic horror film here that is extremely well filmed. From the opening credits, in which the title appears in blood-red letters to the accompaniment of blaring, unmelodious music. A young family moves into an old house, and very soon things start to go wrong. There are odd noises, strange sightings, doors flying open and alarms going off to name a few. suddenly their son fell off the ladder in the attic. They thought every thing is fine but the next day their son doe not wake up, the doctors tell them that their son is in the coma. The sightings and the noises at night in the house lead them to believe that the house is haunted so they move to an other house and there they find that this house is haunted to or that the entity followed them. They are offered the help of this psychic who sees the horror and tell them the bad news.
Renai (Rose Byrne) is positive that something sneaky is happening. Her boxes get moved around by unseen hands, <doors and windows open and close by themselves. Of course Josh (Patrick Wilson) works and comes home late. He is not too crazy about his wife seeing things and note crazy about a haunted house either. They need help so they call a psychic to take care of things and she has see this things before. Who is this presence? what does it want? It not scary as I though it would do but it is watchable. Keep in mind it is an classic horror film here.
