A film by Jon Favreau
Cast: Jon Favreau, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson
Chef is a movie about friends, family, love and food so this is going to be a film that during and after seeing it you will salivate so bring a napkin with you. So Carnivores prepare to dig in, and yes Sophia Verga thank got I was sitting down when I was watching this film, of course let’s not forget Scarlett Johansson. This film is a succulent slices of barbecued, If you are making a film about food you better put 2 beautiful actress in it and some great food ,you see us guys we dream of one thing Sophia Verga naked with a Philly Steak in one hand and a six pack of beer on the other I am hoping that she will knock on my door. did I tell you to bring a napkin. Let’s go back to the movie shall we Here is a chef who has a big night because of a food critic coming in. He wants to change the menu but his boss won’t let him because his boss his a stubborn son of the bitch. So after getting a bad review Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) decided to get a food truck and take it on the road.
Now You have a boss played by Dustin Hoffman who is conservative and does not to change the menu. Carl gets bash by his critics who says that carl for a little fat because he was eating the food that went back to the kitchen. Later Carl gets with his sons and sets him up with a twitter account but there is danger to that. The critics played by Oliver Platt makes a comment on the chef and the Carl responded thinking he was sending him a private message soon after that the message was seen by 280,000. Carl invites the Ramsey Michel (Oliver Platt) back to the restaurant thinking that his boss was going to change his mind . But when he does not and tells him either go with the menu or get out. He gets out. You see a scene with Favreau where he goes back home and cook it is a critical scene to me because here is a chef who loves his job but can’t shut off and after having a fight with his boss the only thing that is calming him down is cooking some food and to put him in perspective that he is a great chef. The thing is is goes back and make a fool out of himself by going back and yell at Ramsey that every people there was filming on the smart phone and it went on every social network. Down on his lick he can not find an other jobs. So he gets to babysits his son while his ex-wife goes to work (rarely has a former partner in a movie been this mature and supportive). Her motive is for him to get his juices flowing again by revisiting where he got his start in the food business, a food truck business. And he does, Carl reconnects with food, his friends and his family especially his son who is in charge of helping out in the kitchen and marketing (social network). Not only that he reconnect with his ex. A terrific little film where the actors are outstanding especially Emjay Anthony who steal the show. You can take the all family to this one. Bon Appétit.
A film by David Dobkin
Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Robert Duvall, Vera Farmiga
Hank Palmer (Robert Downey Jr) is an successful lawyer. He’s completely unethical, a liar, egotistic, and can generally talk his way out of and into anything, He is really good at what he does. He gets a voice mail that his mother has passed away. He leaves The big city and goes back home in Indiana. Not only he has to deal with his older brother Glen (Vincent D’Onofrio) and home movie obsessed younger brother Dale (Jeremy Strong), but his father Joseph (Robert Duvall) who has been a judge for the past 42 years and is the one man more stubborn than Hank. Hank gets pissed at his dad and get on the first plane home the plane gets ready to take off when he gets a call from Glen and learn that his dad has been arrested for murder.
Here is a terrific little film By Dobkin and I don’t care what the critics says it is a terrific film. Robert Downey Jr. Has become the highest paid actor in hollywood and he has come back from hell (the days where he was doing drug). He is probably one of those actor that are gifted and it does come easy for him he sees it and does it. Robert Duvall an other great actor who is still going at his age is doing a terrific job to keep up the tension between his son and him. Duvall and Downey has great chemistry that is incredibly emotional. One man who has a stubborn ego, the other has a hard head who wants to preserves his legacy. A little predictable but fun to watch Dow doing a movie other than Iron man or Sherlock Holmes. It is a little bit long but I didn’t really care. It is still good to me.
A film by Shane Black
Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Val Kilmer, Michelle Monaghan
A dark comedy film noir about a murder mystery being investigated by a gay private investigator, a thief mistaken for an actor who came to town to recandle a lost love from the past. This film has a style of film noir followed by dark comedy. Downey, Kilmer and Monaghan exhibit great chemistry. Downey’s performance is outstanding neurotic, charming and comic. Kilmer plays a convincing gay detective and Michelle Monoghnan has great sex appeal in this film. It is narrated by downey who is the criminal in this story. It is a satire of pulp story at is best like a spoof of film noir from back in the day in Hollywood. It does not have this formula of buddy buddy cop film thank god for that. The screenplay is like a labyrinth so you have to pay attention carefully to the story it might be confusing at times. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is a splendidly choreographed comedy fast paced and cool dialogue. It is violent and silly sometimes both thank to the director Shane Black who has done a terrific job at directing this one as always.
A film by Joss Whedon.
Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson.
Nick Fury is director of S.H.I.E.L.D, an international peace keeping agency. The agency is a who’s who of Marvel Super Heroes, with Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When global security is threatened by Loki and his cohorts, Nick Fury and his team will need all their powers to save the world from disaster. The Avengers,” much awaited by Marvel comics fans, assembles all of the Avengers in one film: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, the Black Widow and Hawkeye. This is like a all stars game or a big mexican fiesta a la carte. The beauty is how the super heroes are different from each other Iron Man (Robert Downey) is just an ordinary guy until he’s wearing his super-suit. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) swings a mighty hammer not because he is a carpenter he is not. Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) wields a bow with arrows so powerful they can bring down alien spacecraft. The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) is a mild-mannered guy until he gets angry, and then he expands into a leaping, bounding green muscle man who can rip apart pretty much anything. Captain America (Chris Evans) has a powerful and versatile shield. Then there’s Natasha (Scarlett Johansson), aka the Black Widow who can kick ass flip side ways and knows some kind of martial art. Maybe she and Hawkeye aren’t technically superheroes, but just hang out for coffee and donuts afterwards. The Avengers” is done well by Joss Whedon, with style and energy. It provides its fans with exactly what they desire.”Comic-Con nerds will have multiple orgasms, or will ejaculate of joy with this movie. it’s time for desperately needed movies to re-educate nerds in the joys of sex. If you like special effect film and the marvel comics you will love this one.
A film by Guy Richie.
Cast : Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Jared Harris.
Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and his longtime trusted associate, Doctor Watson (Jude Law), take on their arch-nemesis, Professor Moriarty (‘Jared Harris’ ), with the help of Holmes’ older brother Mycroft Holmes (‘Stephen Fry’ ) and a gypsy named Simza (Noomi Rapace).
Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr.’s chemistry was compelling. Talking about sequels, more often than not, they are disappointment compared to the original. But not this one what so ever. well done by guy Richie. keep in mind this is a modern action picture played in costume. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law grossed something like half a billion dollars, this was no time to rethink the approach. What they have done however is a refinement and invention. The thing to do, I suppose, is to set aside your memories of the Conan Doyle stories and early movie of sherlock holmes, save them to savor on a night this winter and enjoy this movie as a high-caliber entertainment.

A film by Mathieu Kassovitz
Cast: Vincent Cassel, Hubert Koundé, Saïd Taghmaoui
The story traces a fateful day in the lives of alienated ghetto youths Vinz (Vincent Cassel), Saïd (Saïd Taghmaoui) and Hubert (Hubert Koundé) — a Jew, an Arab and an African, respectively — who are grappling with the aftermath of unexpected tragedy. When their friend Abdel lies comatose after a police beating, Vinz vows to dispense rough justice, sealing the destiny of all three. Great film form Mathieu First film for Taghmaoui, Hubert Koundé, and Vincent Cassel. To this day they are still working and are big stars. It is Boyz n the hood french style.
It is the course of 24 hours they runs into the cops, who try to clear them off a rooftop hangout that has become such a youth center, it even has its own hot dog stand. The go a bit further and there is a riot of a cop who shot an Arab. The youth here in the ghetto has no hope, no jobs to go to, no school why bather to go where there is no hope. They pass the timee at doing stupid thing just hanging out. They are not bad kids , they are targeted because of their race. This was shot in the suburb of Paris and Paris itself. It is raw and honest. This film has won a caesar Palm D’or for best director.
